COVID-19 has led to fast adoption of virtual education. One of the core problems identified was the abandonment of collaborative activities such as Kahoot or Jeopardy which previously functioned to promote student interests and engagement. In order to solve this problem, I decided to use the mental model of physical classroom and transplant it onto Zoom.
The new design allows students to host group-specific video calling while remaining in main classroom, allowing more flexible discussions with extensions that allow improved sharing of academic contents on chat.
