The COVID-19 crisis has changed the way we learn – majority of students and professors are now on Zoom as their virtual classroom. Through research, I found that students prefer messaging rather than reciting with their voice, often losing important messages in the chat throughout the lecture. This behavior thus necessitates pinning for organized engagement.
The side panel was also redesigned as deletable tabs for the optimization of chat real estate and users' customization. Hopefully, this would also lead towards exploring more innovative engagement-oriented features.
